The untitled sequel to 1982’s Blade Runner was originally set to hit theaters in January of 2018. According to The Verge, however, the release date has been moved up three months.

Alcon Entertainment has announced that Blade Runner 2 will now be coming out on October 6th, 2017. That’s jut a couple months before the release of Star Wars: Episode XIII in December.

Alcon’s press release says the film will be “set several decades after the original.” Directed by Denis Villeneuve of Sicario, Harrison Ford will reprise his role as Rick Deckard. Ryan Gosling and Robin Wright have also joined the cast.
