Alex Garland’s follow up to Ex Machina, Annihilation finally has a trailer

Finally! Since Alex Garland’s Ex Machina, everyone’s been waiting to see something from his next sci-fi project Annihilation. Based on the horror book of the same name by Jeff VanderMeer. Annihilation follows the main character only known as ‘The Biologist’ played by Natalie Portman, as she leads some kind of expedition into a dangerous environment. Not much is known about the film unless you’ve read the book.

The cast is impressive though, with Jennifer Jason Leigh, Tessa Thompson, Oscar Isaac and Benedict Wong all starring. The visual effects from the trailer are still hard to take in, they all looked interesting but they didn’t all look convincing, the film won’t be released until February so it’s likely it will be worked on until then.
