Following on from the recent burst of TV adaptations of movies, 2001’s Training Day is the next film likely to make that jump.

Will Beall, who wrote Gangster Squad is on board to write at least the pilot for the show with original director Antoine Fuqua also keen to be involved according to Deadline…

“It was Fuqua’s idea to do the neo-noir crime thriller as a TV series. He approached Warner Bros TV and also brought on board producer Jerry Bruckheimer. The story will focus on the relationship between the two cops. It will be taking place 15 years after the movie, set in the LAPD of 2015.”
