With Thor: Ragnarok approaching it’s late 2017 release date this year, more information is being released. We recently learnt that Doctor Strange will play a major role and team up with Hulk and the nordic god himself.

Following this, Marvel has released a behind the scenes image from the film, below director Taika Watiti is instructing Chris Hemsworth on set.

Moreover, an official synopsis: In Marvel Studios’ ‘Thor: Ragnarok’, Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok—the destruction of his homeworld and the end of Asgardian civilization—at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela. But first, he must survive a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger—the Incredible Hulk!

This seemingly confirms what many speculated, that the ‘Planet Hulk’ storyline will make some kind of appearance in the opening sequence of the film. Also, interesting that there’s no mention of Earth, in the end credits scene of Doctor Strange, it’s suggested he’ll have something to do with getting Loki off of Earth. Earth has featured in the final acts of the last two films and this had fans and critics disappointed as Thor’s films offer more possibilities with Asgard and the nine realms.

Currently, Thor: Ragnarok wields the best cast since Captain America: Civil War; Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Jeff Goldblum, Cate Blanchett, Benedict Cumberbatch, Anthony Hopkins, Idris Elba, Tessa Thompson and more.

Thor: Ragnarok is scheduled for release November 3rd, 2017.
