Spider-Man sequel will co-star a major Marvel character

Iron Man teams up with Spidey in the upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming movie, however it’s been revealed that the sequel will feature a different supporting Marvel superhero. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man won’t return for the follow-up film. Instead a different MCU character will step in for the sequel, with the announcement soon to be made.

THR also reports that Sony want Spider-Man spinoffs that focus on supervillains Kraven the Hunter and Mysterio. This is as well as Silver and Black, and Tom Hardy’s Venom solo film. Spider-Man: Homecoming hits screens on July 7. While we’ll also see Spidey in Avengers: Infinity War from May 4, 2018. And the Homecoming sequel is scheduled for July 5, 2019.
