RoboCop star Joel Kinnaman has confirmed he will play Rick Flag in the upcoming Suicide Squad movie.

He confirmed the news to to French entertainment website Allocine, stating: “All I can say is that I will be in the movie, and it’s going to be amazing.” Kinnaman replaces Tom Hardy, who left the squad back in mid-January.

Suicide Squad is set to hit screens on August 5, 2016, which is looking much more likely now.
