It’s been nearly a decade and a half since Glenn Close starred as Cruella de Vil in 102 Dalmatians, the sequel to the 1996 live-action remake of the 1961 animated classic. Disney now has another live-action One Hundred and One Dalmatians remake in the works that will focus on the villainous fashionista obsessed with fur.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the screenplay for Cruella will be scripted by Kelly Marcel, whose previous credits include Saving Mr. Banks and Fifty Shades of Grey. Oh gee, let’s hope Cruella doesn’t break out the leather whips on those puppies…

In addition to the upcoming live-action versions of The Jungle Book, Beauty and the BeastThe Sword in the Stone, and numerous others, are we getting too many live-action Disney remakes?
