When it was announced that Ron Howard would be taking over the Han Solo standalone movie, now known as Solo: A Star Wars Story, it was unclear exactly how much of Phil Lord and Christopher Miller’s material would make it into the finished project. Would any of it make the cut?

According to Screen Rant (via Star Wars News Net‘s The Resistance Broadcast), it’s possible that Howard reshot almost the entire film. In due course, the budget could’ve been doubled.

This isn’t the first time a Star Wars movie has gone through massive reshoots, as was the case with last year’s Rogue One. Of course that film went on to gross over a billion dollars worldwide.

Solo: A Star Wars Story, aka the most uninspired title ever, hits theaters on May 25, 2018.
