Avengers: Infinity War has finally started shooting, with Guardians of the Galaxy star Dave Bautista, confirming his appearance in the film and revealing his favorite superhero from the Marvel franchise.

Variety reports that the third Avengers film is underway, although the script is yet to be finalized with both Jeremy Renner and Elizabeth Olsen missing scripts.

Dave Bautista, who plays Drax in Guardians, also admitted that he is currently without a script.

Drax joins a long list of superheroes and here’s who’s confirmed so far:

  • Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr)
  • Captain America (Chris Evans)
  • Thor (Chris Hemsworth)
  • Hulk (Mark Ruffalo)
  • Spider-Man (Tom Holland)
  • Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch)
  • Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman)
  • The Falcon (Anthony Mackie)
  • Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan)
  • The Vision (Paul Bettany)
  • Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen)
  • Star-Lord (Chris Pratt)
  • Gamora (Zoe Saldana)
  • Drax the Destroyer (Dave Bautista)
  • Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper)
  • Groot (Vin Diesel)
  • Nebula (Karen Gillan)
  • Dr Erik Selvig (Stellan Skarsgård)
  • Thanos (Josh Brolin)

There are still plenty to be announced, including the likes of Ant-Man and Black Widow, who are almost certainties.

As for Bautista’s role in the film, he kept quiet on the matter, but he did reveal who he is most excited to be working with:

“I’ve said all along, I want to work with RDJ, man. I want to work with Robert Downey Jr. He’s Iron Man. He’s Tony Stark, man. He’s the guy! If I had to narrow down my favorite Marvel film: Iron Man. My favorite, I love it. That movie made me a fan of Iron Man, because up until then I really wasn’t.

Batman and Aquaman were my guys growing up, oddly enough. It just made me a fan and I started watching from then on and all the Marvel movies, it’s just got the golden touch. They’ve really got their finger on the pulse.” he told Variety.

Avengers: Infinity War is set to hit theaters on May 2nd 2018.
