Chinese actor Ludi Lin cast as Black Ranger in Lionsgate’s Power Rangers

Chinese actor Ludi Lin will be morphing into the Black Ranger in Lionsgate’s reboot of the popular 1990s television series, Power Rangers.

Lin’s involvement was made public via the movie’s official Instagram account. He can be seen in Monster Hunt, China’s highest-grossing film of all time, and on the next season of Netflix’s original series Marco Polo.

The team is coming together! #LudiLin is morphing into the #BlackRanger in 2017 for the @PowerRangersMovie.

Power Rangers is due out January 2017, with Lin joining The Martian‘s Naomi Scott (Pink Ranger) and Australian-born actor Dacre Montgomery as the Red Ranger.
