Tom Hardy teaming up with Jackie Director for The True American

Yes, that’s right, a film titled “The True American” will star the British Tom Hardy and be directed by Chilean Pablo Larrain. Jackie was received excellently during award season last year, Lorrain also released Neruda which garnered critical acclaim too. Now in the spotlight, he’s picked up a new project “The True American” and Tom Hardy’s already set to star.

The movie is based on a book of the same named written by Anand Giridharadas, a post 9/11 story about a Muslim living in Dallas, Texas.
Kathryn Bigalow who was once set to direct is now in the producer’s chair, others on board include Megan Ellison, Matthew Budman, and Juan de Dios Larraín.

It seems Tom Hardy casting news is on repeat at the moment, the Oscar nominee still has a plethora of interesting projects on his schedule, Splinter Cell, Mad Max: Wasteland, Triple Frontier, Peaky Blinders, Taboo, War Party and Fonzo where he plays legendary crime boss Al Capone.
