Peyton Reed in talks to direct Ant-Man and the Wasp

Just recently Marvel announced that the Ant-Man sequel Ant-Man And The Wasp will buzz into cinemas in 2018. Now though, The Hollywood Reporter brings news that Marvel are looking to hire director Peyton Reed back for the new movie.

We already know that Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly will return as Scott Lang and Hope Van Dyne, and we’d be surprised if Michael Douglas, Michael Pena, Judy Greer and other members of the first film’s cast weren’t already in consideration to show up once more.

The film still needs a script and that’ll be the next step once Reed is aboard. There’s no word on what the story might be, though of course the title has us thinking that Hope will get her turn in the spotlight.

Ant-Man And The Wasp is scheduled for a July 2018 release.
