Marvel’s hammer-wielding God won’t be the only Avenger featured in the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok. As Deadline has now confirmed that Ruffalo’s Hulk will be joining Thor in his third solo installment, which will take the pair to a “distant planet that is not Asguard and not Earth.” Could this mean the Planet Hulk theories are true?

After this year’s Age of Ultron, Bruce Banner was last seen flying off in a Quinjet, in an effort to save budding love interest Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson) from his monstrous alter ego. Meanwhile, Chris Hemsworth’s Thor returned to Asguard on a mission to investigate who is behind recent happenings.

This partnership is sure to set the Marvel Universe ablaze. The best moments in previous films saw the crown prince of Asguard and volatile green giant battling it out — their respective god-like abilities locked in a stormy dual. So who knows what level of destruction and otherworldly drama we’re in for.

Thor: Ragnarok has a November 3, 2017 release date. Tom Hiddleston’s Loki, and Jaimie Alexander’s Sif are also attached to the project. Taika Waititi is in talks to direct.
