Ron Howard looks set to direct and produce the new live action Pinocchio movie which will star Robert Downey Jr.
Warner Bros. Pictures have been developing this film for some time and according to The Tracking Board, Howard will take on the classic tale with Robert Downey Jr. playing the part of Pinocchio’s creator, Geppetto.
As well as the live action reboot, Disney have been developing their own “Pinocchio-inspired” project, while Guillermo del Toro also hopes to make a 3D stop-motion animated version of the long nosed Puppet.
Next up for Ron Howard is Inferno which is set to hit screens on October 16.
