Megan Fox has expressed interest in playing Princess Kitana in the next Mortal Kombat movie. Talking with Cinepop (via ComicBook.com), the actress was asked which superhero or super villain she would like to play in the future. Fox responded, “I thought of Kitana from Mortal Kombat if they ever make that movie again. I’ve always loved her fans and the blades, um, but that’s the only one I could think of.”

This casting choice probably wouldn’t go over so well, however, seeing how Kitana isn’t Caucasian and White Washing is a controversial issue in Hollywood right now. Kitana was previously portrayed by Talisa Soto in Mortal Kombat and Mortal Kombat: Annihilation. It’s unknown when the Mortal Kombat reboot will hit theaters, but James Wan of Furious 7 has signed on to produce. As for Fox, you can see her as April O’Neil in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows on June 3.
