Inhumans is set to debut on ABC next month, but the Marvel TV series has not gone down well with critics so far it seems. The pilot was screened at the Television Critics Association summer tour and the general reaction amongst press has not been kind, according to ComicBook and Twitter:
The Inhumans pilot I’ve seen is “not the finished product” says Loeb. But there’s no way they’re tweaking an IMAX RELEASE this late. #tca17

'Inhumans' producer just compared his pilot to Shakespeare. Which will strike you as funnier when you get to see it.

Website Spoiler TV in fact posted the first full review of the episode but it has since been removed for breaking embargo rules. However, the outlet called it “simply awful” and “absolutely terrible”. It also highlighted the dialogue in particular as being “atrocious”.
While we await full reviews from all critics, it’s not looking good for Marvel’s latest, and even fans have already been unimpressed by its trailer, which recently broke a record as Marvel’s most disliked video on YouTube:
The synopsis for the show reads:
After the Royal Family of Inhumans is splintered by a military coup, they barely escape to Hawaii where their surprising interactions with the lush world and humanity around them may prove to not only save them, but Earth itself.
Inhumans hits IMAX theatres on September 1st, before airing on ABC on September 29th. See its record-breaking trailer below:
