Three months later and the aftermath of what happened on the night of this year’s Academy Awards is still being felt in Hollywood – Warren Beatty, who was on stage when the wrong card was given to him and subsequently read out by Faye Dunaway, was asked repeatedly on the press tour for his latest film, Rules Don’t Apply.

And now, in typical hilarious but loving spirit, Screen Junkies have released their honest trailer for La La Land and, of course, couldn’t get through it without a mention or two about the error and the real winner of Best Picture, Moonlight. As ever, there is some very funny stuff in here (as well as a bit of singing) but above all else, it reminds us that despite not being perfect, Damien Chazelle’s musical whirlwind is still a wonderful and beautiful piece of cinema.

You can watch the full Honest Trailer below:

Written and directed by Chazelle, La La Land scooped 6 Academy Awards including Best Picture (Chazelle), Best Actress (Emma Stone), Best Original Score (Justin Hurwitz) and Best Song (City of Stars) as well as being nominated for a record-equalling 14 Oscars, including Best Picture and Best Actor (Ryan Gosling).

La La Land is released in the UK on Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K on May 15th.
