Disney is in live-action remake fever right now. Their new version of The Jungle Book comes out this week and now the studio has announced a live-action remake of Peter Pan.

Deadline says that David Lowery will direct the film with Jim Whitaker acting as a producer and Toby Halbrooks penning the script. Lowery also notably directed Disney’s remake of Pete’s Dragon, which comes out later in 2016.

Just last year, Warner Bros. released Pan, a re-imagining of the J. M. Barrie classic. As we all know, though, that film was quite literally panned and failed to spawn a franchise.
