Speaking at the Television Critics Association press tour (via IGN), executive producer Greg Berlanti has put to bed rumours of Batman, Batwoman and Oracle making an appearance on Supergirl or any other of The CW’s superhero shows.

It was also announced that Kevin Smith will be directing an episode of Supergirl, along with the revelation that the second season will debut two new DC characters: Miss Martian and Mon-El. They will join Superman, who we already know will be played by Tyler Hoechlin. The show will debut on The CW when the second season premieres October 10.
