Margaret Qualley, who who is best known for playing Jill Garvey on HBO’s The Leftovers, is in negotiations to join the cast of Adam Wingard’s live-action Death Note movie. Deadline says Qualley will be playing the film’s leading lady, starring opposite Nat Wolff.

It’s unknown who exactly Qualley will be playing in this adaptation of the hit manga and anime series. For those unfamiliar with Death Note, the story follows a student name Light Yagami who comes into possession of a mysterious notebook that allows him to kill anyone by writing their name. If the movie follows the source material closely, perhaps Qualley will be playing Misa Amane, the wide-eyed fashion model who becomes hopelessly devoted to Light.
