It was recently rumored that DC’s Suicide Squad was undergoing reshoots to incorporate more humor. This wouldn’t be very surprising since Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was heavily criticized for taking itself so damn seriously. However, Jai Courtney, who plays Captain Boomerang in the film, says this isn’t the case.

Courtney informed Entertainment Tonight that a few action sequences are being added to the movie, but he heard nothing about adding more comedy.

“I think there’s plenty of that in it,” said Courtney. “I wouldn’t say we’re going back to make it funnier. There’s some additional action stuff that we’ve been doing which is pretty dope, really we’re just kind of adding in that sense.”

“You can’t believe everything you read,” he added.

Suicide Squad hits theaters on August 5 and we can only assume Jared Leto’s Joker will get the last laugh.
