Warner Bros. is considering legal action against Universal Pictures over its ‘Dark Universe’ movie franchise.

Recently, Universal announced the name of its monsters’ shared world as the ‘Dark Universe’ and THR reports that Warner Bros. is not best pleased and is even “mulling legal action, according to a studio source.”

This is because Warner has its own ‘Dark Universe’ banner which is attached to the upcoming Justice League Dark movie, which currently has the working title, Dark Universe.

Universal’s Dark Universe has some iconic actors and classic monsters on display.

Universal’s monster franchise begins with The Mummy, followed by Bride of Frankenstein and The Invisible Man.

The Mummy hits theaters on June 9th.
