DC’s Suicide Squad have reshot scenes to add more humour after the criticism Batman v Superman has received.

According to Birth.Movies.Death, Warner wants to lighten the film’s overall tone after BvS was considered too dark. The second Suicide Squad trailer had a positive reception from audiences however a source at BMD said:

“Every joke in the movie is in that trailer. The enormous positive response to the trailer led to Warner Bros requesting reshoots that would alter the tone of the film, bringing in some more of the lightness to which audiences responded.”

Apparently reshoots took place as recently as this week and cost “tens of millions of dollars”. Suicide Squad hits cinemas on August 5.
