Star Wars 9 start date announced

We may still be awaiting a trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi but Disney is already moving forward to the next film with a shooting date announced.

According to My Entertainment World, Star Wars: Episode 9 will start production in July this year in London. This supports reports that a casting call was spotted for extras needed in July.

Unfortunately we don’t know much about Episode 8, let alone Episode 9! But we do know that Jurassic World’s Colin Trevorrow will direct and has also co-written the script with Derek Connolly.

We can expect to see Mark Hamill, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac and Adam Driver all return. First up though is The Last Jedi which arrives on 15th December. While the untitled Han Solo spinoff will land in May 2018. In the meantime, have a giggle at our April Fools trailer of The Last Jedi below:
