Saw 8, titled Saw: Legacy, has a duo of directors sign up to helm the latest film in the horror franchise.

According to the Ontario Media Development Corporation, Peter and Michael Spierig will direct the eighth entry in the series. The brothers are best known for sci-fi films Daybreakers and Predestination.

We found out earlier this year that Saw 3D: The Final Chapter was not in fact the final chapter. As The Tracking Board reported that Lionsgate were prepping a brand new Saw movie.

James Wan and Leigh Whannell – the respective director and screenwriter of the original Saw – are on board Saw: Legacy as executive producers.

And Legacy is expected to begin shooting this September, with Sorority Row writers, Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfinger set to pen the screenplay.
