Robert Downey Jr. will reprise his role as Tony Stark, aka Iron Man, in Captain America: Civil War and is also set to appear in Avengers: Infinity War. However, the actor says that Iron Man 4 doesn’t seem to be “in the cards.”

Talking with USA Today, Downey Jr. said that following the events of Civil War, “it’s back to the thing we all recognize. Everything pulls over to the side of the road when the thunder of an Avengers thing comes through because that’s how it is until it changes. If it changes.”

Even if Iron Man 4 never happens, it’s safe to say we’ll see plenty of Robert Downey Jr. throughout Phase Three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Captain America: Civil War comes out on May 6. Meanwhile, part one of Infinity War is set to hit theaters on May 4, 2018 and the second installment will be released on May 3, 2019.
