The feature film adaptation of R.L. Stine’s Goosebumps novels will be hitting theaters next Friday. A sequel is already in development at Sony. Now TheWrap reports that 20th Century Fox and Chernin Entertainment are developing a movie based on Stine’s Fear Street books.

“Aimed at horror-loving teenagers, Fear Street takes place in the fictional city of Shadyside, Ohio. Some stories feature the kind of supernatural activity found in Stine’s Goosebumps series, but most of the Fear Street books are simply murder mysteries that offer more violence than Goosebumps.”

Aimed at a teenage audience as apposed to the more kid-friendly Goosebumps, Fear Street has inspired over 100 book installments. Details have yet to be revealed on the film adaptation’s plot, however.
