Quentin Tarantino will be taking on the Manson Family murders in his ninth and possibly penultimate film, which sounds about right considering his previous directorial outings.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Brad Pitt and Jennifer Lawrence could potentially star in the film with production aiming to start in 2018. Harvey and Bob Weinstein are of course on-board, but they’re still looking for a studio to co-finance.

The film will supposedly be about the 1969 murder spree led by Charles Manson, which resulted in his 1971 life sentence. It’s unclear if the film will be a straight-forward biopic or if it will have a trademark Tarantino twist. After all, he already played around with history in Inglourious Basterds.
