After decades of being one of our most beloved Hollywood actors, Leonardo DiCaprio finally took home an Oscar for his lead performance in The Revenant. Since this victory was just a long time coming, it isn’t too surprising that Leo was all the rage on social media last night. According to Twitter, Leo’s win generated 440,000 tweets per minute. This stands out as the most-tweeted minute of any Oscar telecast ever, surpassing Ellen Degeneres’ selfie bit that gained 255,000 tweets per minute.

Degeneres’ selfie tweet still stands out as the most prominent in Oscar history, accumulating over 3.3 million retweets as of today, according to Variety. Who knows, though? Maybe Leo’s tweet will catch up in time.

Spotlight upsetting in the Best Picture category, Lady Gaga’s performance of Til It Happens to You, and the multiple wins for Mad Max: Fury Road also amounted to plenty of buzz on social media. You see the full list of Oscar winners here and read our recap of the ceremony here.
