Jessica Chastain (Interstellar, Crimson Peak) is taking the leap into the world of comic-books with Deadline reporting that the Oscar nominee is set to star in and produce an adaptation of Plainkiller Jane.
A graphic novel series created by Jimmy Palmiotti and Joe Quesada, Plainkiller Jane tells the story of a New York cop named Jane Vasko who is assigned undercover to infiltrate a infamous drug ring but after almost being killed by a drug overdose, she gains superhero abilities.
The project has been in development for a while with acclaimed directors The Soska Sisters (American Mary) previosuly attached to direct the film. So far, no new writers or directors have signed up.
Chastain returns to our screens in Miss Sloane, released in US cinemas on November 25th before a UK release on February 10th.
