Jennifer Lawrence is one of the busiest performers in the movie industry right now, recently wrapping up the final Hunger Games and starring in Joy later this year. Now Lawrence will be getting behind the camera for the first time in a dark comedy entitled Project Delirium.

Lawrence told Entertainment Weekly that Project Delirium will be “based on this article about mental warfare in the ’60s, like an acid experiment gone terribly wrong.”

“It’s funny, I’ve wanted to direct since I was 16 and always thought I should start making steps towards that,” said Lawrence. “If I had tried to do it earlier, I wouldn’t have been ready. Now I actually feel ready.”

Lawrence is currently filming Passengers with Chris Pratt and is set to star in X-Men: Apocalypse. As of now, there’s no word on when Project Delirium will begin shooting or who will star.
