Is Baby getting back in the game for (another) one last job?

Speaking with Empire’s film podcast, director Edgar Wright mentioned that the studio has reached out to him about potentially penning a Baby Driver sequel.

While Sony has yet to comment on the possibility of a followup, Wright’s latest film certainly has the potential to spawn a franchise. In addition to being a critical darling, Baby Driver exceeded box office expectations over the holiday weekend, grossing around $30 million domestically. Plus, this technically wouldn’t be the first time Wright has helmed a series, as Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and The World’s End are all part of the Cornetto Trilogy.

The question is whether Baby Driver should really be the next Fast & Furious franchise or should it be a standalone masterpiece like Pulp Fiction? For more on the film, read our review right here.
