Hitting the scene in 2011, Bob’s Burgers quickly became a worthy addition to Fox’s animation lineup and has even picked up a couple Emmys since then. Now it appears that the Belcher family is headed for the silver screen.

According to Deadline, Fox is developing a Bob’s Burgers movie for a July 17, 2020 release.

“We know the movie has to scratch every itch the fans of the show have ever had, but it also has to work for all the good people who’ve never seen the show,” creator Loren Bouchard stated. “We also know it has to fill every inch of the screen with the colors and the sounds and the ever-so-slightly greasy texture of the world of Bob’s — but most of all it has to take our characters on an epic adventure. In other words, it has to be the best movie ever made. But no pressure, right?!”

The Simpsons previously got the cinematic treatment in 2007. Interestingly enough, we still haven’t seen a Family Guy movie, unless you count the straight-to-video Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story.
