First image from Absolutely Fabulous film

At last Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie has the cameras rolling with Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley back to play the outrageously selfish middle-aged divas. And now a first image from the film has arrived of Saunders and Lumley’s characters enjoying the good life…

The plot sees Edina and Patsy leave London to head for the French Riviera without a penny to their names, but of course they start to form a plan to stay there permanently.

Mandie Fletcher is in the director’s chair for this one, working from Saunders’ script “I am thrilled and excited to finally start filming,” says Saunders. “We are all taking our medication and hoping for the best,”

The likes of Kate Moss, Emma Bunton, Dawn French and Kim Kardashian are set to feature with production taking place in the UK and the South of France. Let’s hope the big screen can capture the magic of the popular TV Sitcom.
