Edge of Tomorrow is getting a sequel and the title has been officially announced, but it’s not gone down well with many.
Doug Liman is back at the helm for the follow-up film, with Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt expected to reprise their roles. And now The Bourne director has announced the sequel’s title as Live Die Repeat and Repeat. He revealed the name to Collider:
“We have an amazing story! It’s incredible! Way better than the first film, and I obviously loved the first film. It will be called Live Die Repeat and Repeat. Tom [Cruise] is excited about it, and Emily Blunt is excited about it. The big question is just when we’ll do it. But it’s not an if, it’s a when.” said Liman.
The title has since been slated on social media, although as Edge of Tomorrow was originally called All You Need Is Kill, fans will be hoping that the sequel title is also changed. Check out the negative reactions to the “awful” name below:

Thrilled that a sequel to the really great EDGE OF TOMORROW is in the works. Not sure about that title though.

I see the Edge of Tomorrow sequel has been given a title that makes people even less likely to watch it than the (very good) first one.

#EdgeofTomorrow didn't make enough (at that budget) to justify a sequel and the alleged title is awful.

Better titles than LIVE DIE REPEAT AND REPEAT:
-EDGE OF TOMORROW & TOMORROW & TOMORROW
-LIVE DIE OR DIE HARD
-LIVE DIE: BACK IN THE HABIT https://t.co/sPXiPDhFfE
