If you went on Facebook at all last night, you probably noticed that most of your friends went to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens. So it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the film set a record for the biggest Thursday preview night ever. According to Box Office Mojo, The Force Awkanes took in an estimated $57 million, beating the $43.5 million record previously held by Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2.

Of course that’s far from the first box office milestone Star Wars: The Force Awakens has reached. The film previously broke international records, making $14.1 million on Wednesday. Since then, The Force Awakens has opened in 32 additional markets and had made 72.7 million internationally. That brings its current total to roughly $130 million.

Stay tuned for more news on The Force Awakens because we have a feeling it’s going to shatter several more box office records.
