Indiana Jones Won’t Be Recast

Although there have been rumors of Chris Pratt replacing everyone’s favorite adventurer in the upcoming fifth Indiana Jones movie, Den of Geek reports that producer Frank Marshall has denied these speculations.

“There are a lot of rumors,” Marshall said. “We haven’t even sat down to talk about Indy yet… at some point we’ll sit down. But there’s a bunch of people who could probably take the baton.”

He went on to say that they’re “not doing the Bond thing where we’re going to call somebody else Indiana Jones… we have to figure this out.”

Seeing how Marshall has produced every Indiana Jones movie to date, it’s safe to say Pratt won’t be the new Indy. A recent interview with Steven Spielberg only further confirms that this role forever belongs to Harrison Ford.

What do you think? Would you have liked to see Chris Pratt break out the whip and fedora, or is there only one true Indiana Jones in your heart?

Personally I think the whip and fedora could be passed on, but Harrison Ford will always be who I think of as the true Indiana Jones. After all, the guy crash-landed a plane on a golf course in real life!
