April will see Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 start its production in New York City and Buffalo. Reports by NY Daily News state that $70 million will be spent on shooting the sequel at the two locations.
“New York City knows how to host blockbuster films,” said NYC’s Mayor Bill de Blasio. “We welcome Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 to New York City, and look forward to the many jobs and tens of millions of jobs this will bring to our local economy.”
With a director still yet to be confirmed, Michael Bay is back on board as producer, as well as the return of Megan Fox as April O’Neil, Will Arnett as Vernon Fenwick and Tohoru Masamune as Shredder.
A release date has been set for June 3, 2016, and we fully expect another entertaining effort from the TMNT franchise.
