According to The Hollywood Reporter, Luc Besson is planning to produce a prequel TV show to the action-hit movie Taken.
US network NBC has handed Besson a straight-to-series order for a concept that will see Liam Neeson’s character Bryan as a young man going on missions and developing the ‘very particular set of skills’ he famously boasts of in the original movies. Unfortunately Neeson won’t feature and whoever takes on the role will certainly have some big shoes to fill.
The entire Taken trilogy brought in over $928 million worldwide and so it’s no surprise to see this franchise kept alive.
