Star Wars’ John Boyega Lending Voice to Nickelodeon’s Tinkershrimp & Dutch

Star Wars’ John Boyega, who was recently nominated for a BAFTA, will be lending his voice to Tinkershrimp & Dutch, an animated web series from Nickelodeon UK and Ireland.

Boyega plays a loris who travels through time with a langoustine voiced by Darren Evans. It’s their duty to protect King Hunnybun III (Alex Lowe) from an evil headless chicken named Michael The Fowl (Sam Riley).

According to Indiewire, series co-creator Gregor Stevenson said, “We wanted to create characters and a world where anything could happen, so spent a lot of time coming up with the most insane, hyper-British situations we could think of.”

Tinkershrimp & Dutch will debut January 15 on nick.co.uk, nicktoons.co.uk, and Nick Play. It’s currently set to have five episodes with a running time of five minutes each.

Boyega also has a few more roles lined up, starring in James Ponsoldt The Circle later this year. Of course you can currently see him in the highest-grossing domestic film off all time.
