Sony sets release dates for The Emoji Movie and Animated Spider-Man

Sony Pictures Animation has announced the release dates for three of their upcoming films.

The Emoji Movie will debut on August 11, 2017, A new adaptation of Peter Rabbit will be released on March 23, 2018 and finally Animated Spider-Man will hit screens on December 21, 2018.

The Animated Spider-Man movie was originally set to come out in summer 2018 but has been pushed back for a winter release. Filmmakers Phil Lord and Chris Miller, who are behind 21 Jump Street and The LEGO Movie, will write and produce the film although their next project is likely to be the upcoming Han Solo Movie.

So far little is known about the new adaptation of Peter Rabbit but we do know that The Emoji Movie will be written and directed by Anthony Leondis.
