Rumour: Is Hulk actually in Civil War?

The official line on Hulk appearing in Captain America: Civil War has been this: he’s not in it. However, a new BBC Radio 1 interview with Anthony Mackie – otherwise known as the Falcon – has thrown that all up in the air. (Skip to the 17:20 mark to hear the Civil War talk begin).

Now let’s not get too excited. Upon listing the names of actors that appear in the movie, Mackie mentions Mark Ruffalo – despite Ruffalo himself denying any rumours that he was appearing in the movie. But if he does turn up in Civil War, it could be just as a cameo – and even then, that doesn’t necessarily mean that his green alter-ego will be stopping by for a quick hello. So in reality, we could simply be getting Bruce Banner, and Bruce Banner only – and that’s only if Mackie’s mention of Ruffalo’s name wasn’t a slip of the tongue, or moment of confusion.

In more concrete news, however, Mackie declares that Captain America: Civil War is ‘Marvel’s best movie thus far’, mentioning that it’s even better than both Iron Man and The Winter Soldier. If Ruffalo does end up being in it, then we can believe that.

Captain America: Civil War is released April 29 in the UK, and May 6 in the US.
