We already know that there are plenty of Star Wars and Marvel films confirmed for the future but now we can expect even more.

Already announced are Rogue One (due in December) and Star Wars Episode VIII (due for release in December 2017). Han Solo’s film for 2018 and Star Wars Episode IX in 2019 and now Disney Chairman Bob Iger has told BBC Newsbeat to prepare for even more beyond this.

“There are five Star Wars films that are in varying stages of development and production, there will be more after that, I don’t know how many, I don’t know how often.” he said.

Disney’s CEO also mentioned there were no plans to stop expanding the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) “Marvel, you’re dealing with thousands and thousands of characters – that will go on forever,” says Iger.

The next in the Marvel film series due from Disney is Captain America: Civil War, which will be released in the UK on 29 April.
