The busiest woman in Hollywood just got busier as Oscar-nominee Jessica Chastain joins The Hunstman.

The film is set to be a prequel to Snow White and The Huntsman with Charlize Theron and Chris Hemsworth returning, but with no sign of Kristen Stewart who played the lead in the first film.

Emily Blunt will also join the cast, but character and plot details remain a mystery at this stage. The Shawshank Redemption director Frank Darabont was initially on board to write and direct the film, but has since dropped out, although it is believed the draft script currently being used is his.

Cedric Nicolas-Troyan, who won a VFX Oscar for his work on the first film will step up to the directors chair.

Chastain will begin filming once she has completed work on Ridley Scott’s latest film The Martian and Guillermo Del Toro’s horror flick Crimson Peak, both of which are scheduled for release later this year.
