Alcon Entertainment’s heads have publicly invited Harrison Ford to reprise his role as Rick Deckard in the Blade Runner sequel. Ridley Scott has committed to direct the film which has been written by Michael Green and Blade Runner co-writer Hampton Fancher.

According to Variety, Alcon producers Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson said, “We believe that Hampton Fancher and Michael Green have crafted with Ridley Scott an extraordinary sequel to one of the greatest films of all time… We would be honoured, and we are hopeful, that Harrison will be part of our project.”

The sequel’s plot has yet to be revealed, but we do know that it will take place several decades later than the first film, which was set in Los Angeles in the year 2019.
