Gillian Anderson has revealed her interest in becoming the first female Bond.
The X-Files star responded to a fan’s mock-up poster of her in the role of 007. She showed her approval on twitter as she wrote “It’s Bond. Jane Bond.”

There’s a lot of talk about the next Bond being female and if they do decide to take that path, then Anderson would certainly seem a popular choice.
The role of the world’s most iconic secret agent does seem to be up for grabs after reports emerged last week that Daniel Craig had turned down £68 million to return.
However, the studios behind the franchise are yet to comment on whether the search for a new Bond is on or not. If there is a search on, then Hiddleston seems the favourite to land the part but now Anderson has put her name into the mix, what would you favour?
