First look at Jesse Eisenberg as supervillain Lex Luthor

Whether you’re looking forward to Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice or not, one thing to get excited about if you’re a film fan is the inclusion of the supremely talented Jesse Eisenberg in the movie’s cast. He’ll be playing tech genius and billionaire Lex Luthor, a role not dissimilar from his one in 2010’s The Social Network, who is the arch nemesis of Superman in the comics. Entertainment Weekly provided our first glimpse of Eisenberg as Luthor:

Okay, so it might just be a bald Jesse Eisenberg: but the folically-challenged villain doesn’t need a costume to prove his might. Previously portrayed by Gene Hackman in the ’70s Superman films, and by Kevin Spacey in 2006’s Superman Returns, we’re really looking forward to this particular actor’s interpretation of the iconic character. Director of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, Zack Snyder, also told Entertainment Weekly: ‘He’s not any of the Lexes that you’ve seen, that’s for sure… other than him being a captain of industry and one person to the world and another person to himself. And bald, of course.’

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice will be released March 25, 2016.
