Fans freaked out by Jennifer Lawrence in “gross” new film poster

Director Darren Aronofsky has revealed the first poster from his upcoming movie Mother starring Jennifer Lawrence, and it’s gruesome.

The Black Swan director is known for his surreal and controversial approach to cinema and he certainly hasn’t let up in that sense with this new poster. He shared the striking artwork on Twitter, suitably on Mother’s Day, which shows Lawrence holding her bloody heart, ripped out from her chest:

Mother also stars Javier Bardem and Domhnall Gleeson, and “centers on a couple whose relationship is tested when uninvited guests arrive at their home, disrupting their tranquil existence.”

Aronofsky and Lawrence are currently dating and we can see the couple’s first collaboration on October 13th.
