Erik Bauersfeld, best known for lending his voice to the Star Wars films, has died at the age of 93.
Bauersfeld voiced cult favourite Star Wars character Admiral Ackbar in Return of the Jedi and most recently in The Force Awakens.
He also lent his voice to Jabba the Hutt’s manservant Bib Fortuna. But his iconic line as Ackbar: “It’s a trap!” will always live long in the memory of Star Wars fans.
Bauersfeld’s manager Derek Maki told THR that the actor passed away at his home on Sunday morning.
