After a long, tough road to the screen, Danny Boyle’s Steve Jobs biopic has officially begun production. The announcement comes from Universal Pictures, who acquired the rights after Sony dropped out, which itself followed the departure of two lead actors and a wider cast that kept being chopped and changed. But thankfully, the movie – written by Aaron Sorkin – is finally getting made. Officially titled Steve Jobs, the movie will star Michael Fassbender as the Apple co-founder, along with Kate Winslet, Seth Rogen (who has long been reported as playing Steve Wozniak), and Jeff Daniels heading up the rest of the cast. There’s still no release date set for Steve Jobs, but expect this in awards season in either late 2015 or early 2016.
